907,876. Hand basins. PHILLIPS & RABONE Ltd. Dec. 18, 1959 [Dec. 19, 1958], No. 40979/58. Class 26. [Also in Group XXIX] A control valve for a hand basin outlet of the kind in which the valve member for the outlet is raised off or lowered on to its seating by a pivoted lever, comprises a valve spindle 5 located in a straight through passage 4, a lever 7 pivotally connected to the valve spindle which passes through a side entry 6 into the discharge passage, a sealing bellows member 9 resiliently embracing the lever and a push rod 18 for operating the lever. In a modification, one end of the bellows is clamped to the end of the side entry 6 by a nut which also retains a pivot bearing for the lever and the other end, embracing the lever, extends into the side entry.
