907,493. Removing trash from carding engines. CARRIER ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Aug. 2, 1960 [Aug. 5, 1959], No. 26797/59. Addition to 872,288. Class 120 (3). Trash from the main cylinder, taker-in and doffer of a carding engine is evacuated by mechanically thrusting the trash through an outlet in the carding engine housing into a zone wherein a momentum change in the external air movement is created By locating a partition 19 in a suction duct 12 a reversal of direction of the current of air drawn through inlets 23 is created sufficient to entrain trash 14 delivered by a conveyer 8.
