Abstract

1362883 Openers ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 29 Nov 1971 [22 Dec 1970] 55275/71 Heading D1N In an opening device, for use in open-end spinning machines, in which an opening cylinder 1 is rotatably mounted in a cylindrical chamber a passage 14 admits atmospheric air to the proximity of the bearing 16 to relieve vacuum there and hence prevent the ingestion of grease from the bearing. A recess 18 is provided to catch any grease which may escape and this recess is separated from the air duct by a labyrinth seal 17. The opener shaft passes through the bearing 16 and has a drive pulley 4 on its outer end.
