1363482 Open end spinning MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER AG 18 June 1971 [19 June 1970] 10880/74 Divided out of 1363481 Heading D1D An open end spinning device comprises a rotor disposed within a housing, the rotor being supported in bearings 128, 129 and driven by means 131 which are within a casing arranged so that the internal volume of the casing is in communication only with the interior space of the housing. The housing comprises a nozzle for withdrawal of air from the interior space of the housing and the internal volume of the bearing casing so that the latter may be at equal pressure upon evacuation of air. The ingress of dust and lubricants into the bearings and rotor is thereby prevented.
