Abstract

905,224. Refrigerators. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Jan. 16, 1959 [Jan. 20, 1958], No. 1843/58. Class 29. In a refrigerator cabinet having an outer shell 10 provided with an inturned flange 10b and a plastic liner 11 formed with an out-turned flange 12, flange 12 is held in engagement with the inner surface of flange 10b by positive clamping means which do not pass through the former. As shown in Fig. 3, strips 15 along the top and sides of the door opening bear on the rear of flange 12 and have a lip 15b bearing against flange 10b, the parts being held together by screws 16 covered by trim strips 21. As shown in Fig. 4, an angled strip 20 is secured to the flange 10b along the bottom of the opening, the flange 12 being held in the resulting trough by spring clips 18.
