963,227. Refrigerators. GENERAL MOTORS (FRANCE). April 4, 1962 [April 24, 1961], No. 14694/61. Heading F4H. [Also in Division E1] A resilient sealing strip 52 for a refrigerator door 42 has an arcuate body portion 58 with radially inward bevelled projections 62, 64 and a sealing lip 54. The door has an outer flanged metal panel 22 and an inner panel 24 of rigid polymeric material, having beaded projections 44 and a flange 26 with holes 34 into which project the shoulders 32 of fixing clips 30, held in holes 38 by a flange 40. Another embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) has a fixing flange arrangement integral with the inner panel, running parallel with the flange 28, but inside flange 26, and having projections received in the holes 34. Figs. 4, 6 (not shown), show modified means for joining the inner and outer panels, employing tanged U-clips and spring studs, respectively.
