A lattice girder or purlin is connected to a second lattice girder or rafter by extensions of the rods 1 forming the upper chord of the purlin which have a plate 3 welded across them and bolted to two plates 4 welded across the rods 10, 11 of the upper chord of the rafter, a tie-rod 7 being bolted to a plate 8 on the lower chord 12, 13 of the rafter and engaging an eye 9 on the lower chord of the purlin.
