Abstract

1325808 Building frameworks; joining structural members FOKKER-VFW NV 15 Oct 1971 [18 Dec 1970] 48061/71 Heading E1K A building framework comprises axially aligned columns 1, 2 having respective end flanges 3 4 of rectangular or square form between which there are positioned four members 6, one or more of which may be the end portions of girders or beams 5 of the framework, the remainder being girder portions arranged to take the place of such girder ends, whereby the rectangular or square area between the flanges 3, 4 is filled and the columns may be secured in aligned relationship by bolts passed through the holes shown in the flanges 3, 4 and in corresponding flanges of the members 6. A framework composed of junctions as above with either no girder connections or from one to four girders connected therewith can thus be assembled. Holes 8 provide access to the columns 1, 2 where these are hollow, e.g. for threading cables through the columns.
