Abstract
1,268,513. Floor skeleton. J. IWENS and A. DE POERCK. 8 April, 1969 [10 April, 1968], No. 17907/69. Heading E1K. A floor skeleton comprises a rectangular unit formed of superimposed layers of beams 2, 3 framed by bearing girders 6, 5, the beams 2, 3 of each layer being parallel to respective girders 6, 5. Upper and lower beams are formed by channel members joined back to back by tubes 10 which extend through both layers. The ends of upper beams 2 bear on I- section girders 5, those of beams 3 being received in holes in I-section girders 6. The girders are connected to corner columns 8. Trusses (15) are provided between the channel members of the beams.
