Abstract

The H-section elongate members preferably form the vertical side members of prefabricated room units and horizontal beams of the room units may be welded to the sides or ends of the flanges of the connecting member. Two sets of room units may be set up side by side and further connecting beams attached to the connecting units to increase the building frontage without increasing the size of room unit to be transported Many modifications are disclosed including connecting members 7 having flanges with enlarged ends, and H-section elongate members in which the slots in the flanges are merely edge rebates. In forming the room unit metal flooring members may be welded to the beams before they and the connecting members are secured to the ports. A modified connecting member may be formed by welding two H-section members together in parallel, the column members then having two slots in each end of their webs.
