Abstract

996,161. Steel girders. E. TERSIGNI. July 23, 1962 [July 26, 1961], No. 28309/62. Heading E1K. A girder made from steel sheet comprises a tubular lower boom 1 of triangular cross-section and a tubular top boom 4 having a ridge 5 of inverted V-section. The girder is lightened by holes 6, 7. Two girders 20 are joined to another girder 21 at right angles by plates 10, 11, Fig. 6 at the top and bottom having grooves 11, 12 to engage the ridges 5 and which are secured to the booms of the girders by bent flanges 13, 15, 16.
