Abstract

826,854. Girders. MODERNER BAUBEDARF G.m.b.H. Feb. 14, 1956 [Feb. 15, 1955], No. 4658/56. Addition to 818,676. Class 20(4) A light girder for compound ceilings comprising a single metal profile constituted by a plate web 4, 6, and top and bottom chords 7, 3, 5, a concrete foot (not shown) attached to the metal profile and extending above, below and on both sides of the bottom chord, and adhesion increasing means provided in that part of the plate web which is surrounded by the concrete foot has the web part 6 slit at 28, the material adjacent the slits being bent out of the plane of the web to form pocket-like bulges 33 open at one end. As shown, two sets of bulges are formed the upper ones 33 being pressed to the opposite side of the web 4 from the lower ones 32. Adjacent pairs of bulges may be spaced a distance apart f which is greater than the distance e between bulges forming a pair. In a modification the extremities of the bulges, where they merge into the flat part of the web, do not overlap one another in the upper and lower rows.
