Abstract

1,012,149. Lattice girders. S.E.C.O. STEEL EQUIPMENT CO., P.V.B.A. May 15, 1962, No. 18662/62. Heading E1K. A lattice girder comprises an upper tubular boom 2 of triangular cross-section the side walls of which are flared outwardly at 24, 25 where they are welded to the top of horizontal parts 44 of the lattice web 4. The web comprises a number of inverted V-shaped bars flattened at the apex 44 and the lower ends of which are welded between the angle members 31, 32 of the lower boom. The axes 9 of the adjacent sloping arms 41 of the web bars intersect at the neutral axes of the two booms. The central planes of symmetry of the sidewalls 23 of the upper boom intersect at the common axis 45 of the parts 44. Specification 1,012,150 is referred to.
