Abstract
895,466. Pipe couplings. INTEGRAL Ltd. July 29, 1960 [July 30, 1959], No. 26191/59. Class 99(1). [Also in Group XXIX] A self-sealing coupling comprises a housing 101 secured against rotation by a nut 115 to the wall 114 of a device. A valve closure member 108 co-operates with a seating 121 and is opened by the attachment of outlet 116 through a knurled nut 109. When the outlet is disconnected a spring 120 acts between members 117, 118 to close the valve. In a modification the housing 101 is enlarged to contain a temperature controlled flow device (see Group XXIX).
