894,042. Liquid fuel combustion chambers; generating combustion products under pressure. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd., JOSEPH. Aug. 16, 1960 [Aug. 21, 1959], No. 28612/59. Class 51 (1). A liquid fuel combustion chamber comprises two coaxial tubular parts 10, 11 held in overlapping spaced relation by a corrugated strip 13 so that air from an annular jacket can pass between the parts to the combustion chamber, and a duct 12 extends from the outer part 10 through an enlarged portion 14 of the corrugated strip which is secured to the inner tube 11 and bent to form a perforated scoop 15 so that air is constrained to flow over the downstream side of the duct 12. In a modification, Figs. 4 and 5, sleeves 30 are slidably mounted on enlarged parts 25 of a corrugated strip to accommodate fuel supply ducts. The limited freedom of the sleeves 30 allows for slight misalignment of the burners.
