892,574. Charge air filters; crankcase breather caps. GENERAL MOTORS Ltd. Dec. 30, 1960 [Dec. 30, 1959], No. 44233/59. Class 7(2). [Also in Group XVII] A spring strip 10 frictionally retains the connecting pipe 6 of a filter unit over its respective engine pipe. In the crankcase breather cap shown, a pleated paper filter 3 is located between a casing shell 1 having inlets 4 and a casing shell 2 to which a ring 15 retaining the strip 10 is spot welded. The ring 15 may extend to be gripped by the bent-over flange 7 of the shell 1. Specification 777,738 is referred to.
