Abstract

1331417 Gas filter bag mounting AIR FILTERS Inc 31 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 4500/72 Heading BIT An outward-flow gas filter bag 10 has secured to its mouth a resilient collar 12 having an external peripheral groove, whereby the bag is secured and sealed to an aperture in a tube plate 11 by deforming collar 12 and pushing it into the aperture. The collar may be pushed into place from either side of plate 11, and flange (18) of the collar (Fig. 4, not shown) deflect gas from the seal. The V-shaped section of the groove enables it to fit various plate thicknesses.
