Abstract

1,255,113. Air filters. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 30 April, 1970 [21 May, 1969], No. 20911/70. Heading BIT. [Also in Division F1] The opposite ends of a pair of tubular filter elements 70 and 72 are sealed to respective annular end caps 64 and 66 and a filter chamber 78 having an outlet in the end cap 66 is defined by an enlarged pleat 76 in the element 70 and the element 72. The filter elements are mounted in an I.C. engine air cleaner 16 and a pipe 34 to the engine crankcase extends through the opening (82), Fig. 3 (not shown), in the end cap 66. The element 70 is formed of oiled paper, the element 72 of resin treated paper and the caps 64, 66 of plastisol.
