Abstract

926,698. Filtering charges. GENERAL MOTORS Ltd. March 20, 1962 [March 21, 1961], No. 10248/61. Class 7(2) [Also in Group XXVIII] The upper portion 1, Fig. 1, of a two-part casing 1, 2 housing an inward flow air intake filter element 18 (see Group XXVIII) has an angularly adjustable intake pipe 26 secured by a clamp 27 whereby the temperature of the incoming air may be varied according to its position relative to the engine. The bottom wall 4 of the lower portion 2 of the filter casing has two clean air outlets 15, 16 Fig. 2, connected to twin carburetters. The upper casing portion 1 is connected by a duct 28 to the engine crankcase.
