864,369. Tanks. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. Nov. 16, 1959 [Nov. 19, 1958], No. 38805/59. Addition to 844,599. Class 69 (1). In a modification of the baffle device of the parent Specification the return-pipe 114<SP>1</SP> for the fuel overflowing from the injection pump opens tangentially into the annular passage 105 enclosed between the outer and inner walls 101, 102 of the housing of the baffle device. The return pipe 114<SP>1</SP> opens in the region of the inlet opening 104. The fuel suction-pipe 113<SP>1</SP> through which fuel is drawn from the housing is connected to a duct 122 running round the front of a filter 117 disposed centrally in the reservoir space enclosed by the inner wall 102, this duct 122 being open towards the filter 117.
