Abstract

908,914. Carburetters. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. Sept. 20, 1960 [Sept. 22, 1959], No. 32294/60. Class 7(3) Means for facilitating hot starting is controlled by fluid pressure. As shown the device comprises a valve 10 which releases accumulated fuel from an air intake pipe 1 attached to the carburetter. The valve may be closed by the delivery pressure of an electrical fuel pump, acting on a diaphragm 8. In a modification the diaphragm unit is disposed beneath the air intake pipe. Opening of the outlet may be controlled by oil or water pressure.
