891,821. Bidet attachments for closets. BUCK Inc., HARLAN M. April 8, 1960 [April 10, 1959], No. 12569/60. Class 26. A sitz bath 20 comprises a basin having a flange 25 for support on the top 13 of the rim 12 of a toilet bowl 10 in which is suspended the body of the basin, with, a combined inlet and drainage opening 41 adjacent its bottom 23 and a movable plate 35 mounted on its outer surface for selectively supplying water at a regulatable rate thereto through the opening 41 or for bypassing the opening 41 so that water from the plate 35 will discharge directly into the bowl 10, or for draining the basin through the opening 41. In the flange 25 is a guide slot 32 through which extends a fitting 40 for entry of water and for operating the plate 35 (pivoted at 36 in a pocket 27 having sides 30 and at the forward end), having a passageway through it the outlet end of which is brought into or out of registry with the opening 41 on moving the plate 35. Openings 33 in the wall may serve as an overflow.
