A toilet flushing system includes a lowlevel cistern 3, a lid 10 therefor shaped with a depression 7 forming a washbasin having a constantlyopen drainhole 9 at the base, an inlet 11 therefor and a larger overflow outlet 13 and below the rim a pipe 12 from the cistern's float-controlled valve 4 to the inlet 11, the outlet 13 delivering into the cistern 3, thus filled through the basin. There are side depressions 8 for soap, draining into the depression 7.
