939,004. Water-closet pans. L. WITVROUW. March 14, 1961 [March 18, 1960], No. 9240/61. Class 26. A water-closet basin includes a bowl 2 of synthetic plastics material having a water inlet 5, a circulating rim 1 therefor and an outlet 2 as shown, Fig. 2, a base 4 with a discharge opening, and an element 3 intermediate thereto, (both of synthetic plastics material), made up of a basin 8 and an outlet tube 9, the element 3 forming a siphon between the bowl 2 and base 4. The base 4 may have three discharge openings-one opening 11 in the rear wall thereof and openings 11<SP>1</SP> and openings 11<SP>1</SP> and 11<SP>11</SP> in the lower wall, the two discharge openings not required being closed by sealing plugs 14, Fig. 5, the rim 1 and inlet 6 may be formed integrally but separate from the bowl 2, or the rim 1 and bowl 2 may be integrally formed. The openings 11<SP>1</SP> may include a straight adapter and the opening 11 may include an adapter, straight (16) or curved (18) in profile, and including a ventilation pipe 17. The base 4, Fig. 8, may be fixed to a supporting base 19 of synthetic plastics material by threaded pegs 22 projecting vertically from the base 19 into holes in the base 4 and capped by nuts 23, the base 19 being screwed to the floor.
