Abstract

851,882. Shower units. WINN & CO. Ltd., C. April 23, 1959 [April 23, 1958], No. 12852/58. Class 26. A mounting for a shower installation comprises a skeleton frame adapted to be fixed in a recess 10 in a wall 11 and to carry a mixing valve 27 and piping 32, 35 from it through a grommet 36 to a shower head, with or without a diverter valve and a discharge outlet or nozzle to deliver water directly into a bath, and a panel 22 detachably secured to the frame closing the recess 10 with openings for the valve spindle(s), the pipe 35, and for the discharge outlet or nozzle if fitted. The portion of the frame in which the panel 22 is secured is so adjustable as to allow the panel's peripheral portion to fit snugly against the facing of the wall 11 around the recess or to fit flush with its edge.
