888,043. Bidet attachments for closets. BUCK Inc. HARLEM M. April 8, 1960 [April 10, 1959], No. 12568/60. Class 26. A sitz bath comprises a basin 20 having a flange 22, dimensioned so that the flange 22 can support ii within a conventional oval-shaped toilet bowl 10 and spaced at 25 from the inner periphery of the rim 12 of the bowl 10 at the front, and having in the wall thereof, along the upper margin, one or more overflow openings 30 and a larger elongated opening 33 at the front, when the basin is so positioned, whereby one end 42 of a flexible hose 36 may be inserted through the space 25 into and withdrawn from, the interior. The basin 20 may be oval-shaped, the opening 33 being substantially in line with the major axis thereof, or circular. The basin 20 may have a drain opening 51 in the bottom wall 44, closable by a removable plug 52 connected to one end of a chain or like flexible member 53 the other end of which passes through a separate guide slot or like means below the upper margin.
