522,246. Disinfecting water-waste-preventers. LARCOMBE, F. C. Oct. 5, 1938, No. 28839. [Class 26] A disinfecting and deodorising' apparatus for flushing cisternscomprises a chamber B formed integrally with a cistern A provided with a slot C which allows water to pass to and from the cistern. The chamber B is provided with a hinged lid D and in use a solid disinfectant is placed in the chamber ,some or the weak solution produced passing: into the cistern A when. the latter is flushed. Another form of the invention is described in. the Provisional Specification in which a perforated, metal or other receptacle is charged with a solid disinfectant, the receptacle being provided with hooks by which it is hung on the inside of the cistern.
