Abstract

460,041. Disinfecting closets. SOUTH BANK CHEMICAL CO., Ltd., and CADDICK, A. J. July 27, 1935, No. 21337. [Class 26] [Also in Group VI] A deodorant block for disinfecting closets, basins, cisterns and for other purposes is supported by a detachable member made from a single piece of wire 11 bent so that the centre forms a supporting hook 14 above the block and the ends form upwardlyextending prongs 12 which engage holes in the bottom of the block. The wire may be accommodated in grooves 13 in the side of the block. The block may have colouring matter incorporated therewith and be made from one or more of the following - naphthalene, camphor, a hard soap, a sulphate, carbonate, or bicarbonate of sodium, potassium, magnesium or lime. It may be perfumed with phenolic compounds such as carbolic, cresylic or other tar acids, or pine or eucalyptus oil. The block may be cast or formed from compressed materials.
