Disinfecting and deodorizing. - A cylindrical vessel a containing a block or two or more balls of disinfectant and deodorizing material b is provided with perforated conical ends c, one or both of which are detachably secured as by a screw thread d or frictionally. The container is suspended inside the flushing cistern of a closet or the like by a. wire g bent over at h to engage the edge of the cistern and having a hook at its lower end engaged by a looped wire g<1> detachably secured to the members c.
