Abstract

885,598. Transformers. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Jan. 7, 1960 [Jan. 13, 1959], No. 577/60. Class 38 (2). A transformer having its primary and secondary windings 20, 30 formed of sheet conductors with the secondary turns interleaved with the inner turns of the primary as described in Specification 872,073 has one end 101 of the primary left unconnected, the supply being connected to terminals 100, 102 so that the primary circuit is completed by the inherent interwinding capacity 72 between the primary and secondary windings. Duct formers may be incorporated in the windings for cooling purposes.
