Abstract
884,734. Clocks and watches. JAHRESUHREN-FABRIK G.m.b.H. April 9, 1958 [April 10, 1957], No. 11309/58. Class 139. In a timepiece the pendulum 1, 2, Fig. 1, carries at least two permanent magnets 3, 3<SP>1</SP> and the maintaining circuit includes a transistor 5, two exciter-driving coil combinations 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, a rectifier 6 in each of the leads from an exciter coil to the base of the transistor and a variable resistor 7 between the collector and the base of the transistor. The rectifiers prevent positive pulses derived from the movement of the magnets 3, 31 into and out of the coils 4, 4<SP>1</SP> from reaching the base of the transistor. In another embodiment the pendulum is replaced by a balance carrying four permanent magnets and the maintaining circuit is as before.
