882,516. Gas-turbine plant. CESKOSLOVENSKE ZARODY NAFTOVYCH MOTORU PRAHA, NARODNI PODNIK. Sept. 7, 1960 [Sept. 16, 1959], No. 30880/60. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XXVII] In a two-stroke engine supercharged by an exhaust gas turbine driven blower the exhaust gases of each cylinder are discharged in a plurality of separate streams 4, 7, Fig. 1, which have different velocities and pressures, to an equal number of groups 5, 8 of respectively differently-shaped guide blades on a single guide blade ring 16 of the turbine. In a four-stroke embodiment, Fig. 2, a crank-shaftdriven slide valve 10 successively uncovers ports 3, 6 to discharge the separate gas streams 4, 7, or in a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the slide valve is replaced by a pair of lift valves each of which separately controls a cylinder head port through which a gas stream is discharged. In the velocity diagram, Fig. 4, the guide blades of the groups 5 and 8 are shaped so that the resultant gas velocities W<SP>1</SP> and W<SP>11</SP>, flowing therefrom have the same relative direction with respect to the rotor blades 15.
