Abstract

881,157. Surgical supports. MEDICAL SUPPLY ASSOCIATION Ltd. Feb. 15, 1960 [Nov. 14, 1958], No.36725/58. Class 81 (2). In order to maintain a patient in the lithotomy position, arms 5 are mounted on pivots, below the level of the table, so as to be movable in a horizontal plane and, at their free ends, each carries a vertical post 13 at the upper end of which there is a leg rest 14. Preferably the posts 13 may be adjusted vertically by clamps 12, telescopic extensions 6 are fitted to the arms 5, and are set by means of clamps 8, and the angular position of the arms 5 is adjusted and maintained by a clamp 9 attached to a pivoted strut 10.
