Abstract
553,706. Surgical tables. BAILEY & SON, Ltd., W. H., and WARNER, A. Sept. 30, 1941, No. 12632 [Class 52 (iii)] A portable surgical table comprise two horizontally arranged platforms, rear one and a front one, the front on being removable to permit of lower lim' treatment and the rear one being vertica lly displaceable to give access to th patient's shoulders. The rear platforn is in two parts c, c<1> supported by legs c d<1>. By raising a lever 2 to release pro jections e from a bar f, the legs may b collapsed so as to lower the platform c, c<1> and leave the patient's back on a centra support m. After treatment of the shoulders, the support m with the patient lying on it may be detached and carried to a suitable place. The suppor m rests at one end on a plate o, and at the other end is carried on legs h. The platform c, c<1> may be slid rearwardly on guides I to accommodate a tall patient An upright v carries arms w for suppor ting bandages. The front platform (not shown) for supporting the lower limbs of the patient may be aligned with the platform c, c<1>, one end being supported on the plate o and the other end supported by a hinged strut. A removable head rest, a removable arm rest, and removable feet rests 1 are provided. The table may be packed in a suit-case.
