Abstract
880,032. Fishing vessels; masts. MACGREGOR-COMERAIN. Feb. 24, 1959 [Nov. 13, 1958], No. 6428/59. Classes 113 and 115. [Also in Group XXX] A fishing vessel has at its rear end a mast consisting of one or preferably two guyless shafts 7, 8 with a transverse member 11 constituting a gantry fitted in the strength deck 3, a rotary crane or derrick mast 12, 13 rotatable through about 360 degrees placed on at least one of said shafts and one or more hatchways 18 in the deck near the mast giving access to the hold 2, the hatchway being closed by panels 19 hingedly mounted about a substantially horizontal axis 20 at the foot of the mast, the panels being adapted to constitute a ramp descending into the hold. The bulwark 4 carries one or more sheaves 5 and a transverse roller 6, and winches 16, 17, are provided, each having two winding drums. Specification 625,746 is referred to.
