Abstract

The ship-loading mechanism is for heavy piece goods, comprising a mast with cross-tress on the ship, and on which a jib is supported in a slewing bearing, derricked by a double pulley-block mechanism and equipped with a hoist rope. The mast (4) is supported in the deck on a radial-load bearing (5), and in a lower deck or the ship double-bottom in a radial-load and thrust bearing (6, 7) so that it can slew about its lengthwise axis, being lockable in two positions at least. Base points are provided on the deck to adjust auxiliary tackle engaging with the jib (9), or the hoist rope (15).
