Abstract

875,320. Couplings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. July 21, 1959 [July 21, 1958], No. 23394/58. Class 38 (1). [Also in Groups XXII and XXV] Conduits 2 for electrical installations are secured together and to other electrical fittings 1 by providing a conduit-receiving hole 21 in the fitting &c., and a transverse bore 4 cutting across one side of the hole to receive a cotterpin. This pin has a stepped shank with a screwed part 3 engaging a screwed part of bore 4, a self-tapping part 7, a plain part 8 and a tool-engaging socket 6. The pin part 7 cuts and engages screw-threads on the conduit. The conduit may be replaced by a metal-sheathed conductor.
