Class 36 [Also in Group XXVIII] A fitting for securing a cylindrical member such as an electrical conductor 25 in an orifice 22 comprises a male member 18 which is forced into a female member 19, having a conical bore, the end of the male member, protruding from the female member, flowing radially to interlock the two members. Members 18 and 19 can be of any material, e.g. a plastic such as nylon and the taper 17 of member 19 and the member 18 also produces deformation of the wall of the tube 25 when the latter is deformable.
