Abstract

729,903. Stoppers. MANTOVANI, R. Dec. 11, 1953, No. 34495/53. Class 125 (3). A closure for collapsible tubes has a screw-threaded cap 11 integral with or fastened to a hollow coaxial cylindrical member 12 having an outlet port 13 and splits 14 and shoulder 15, the splits imparting resiliency to the member 12 to allow insertion in the tube, the bore 19 being of the same diameter as member 12 to provide a leakproof fit. Abutment of shoulder 15 on a shoulder 20 on the tube limits outward movement of member 12 when once inserted, the tube contents being discharged through port 13. In a modification member 12 is solid and provided with a longitudinal groove.
