Abstract

914,110. Stoppers. HERTER, W. J. Dec. 28, 1960 [Dec. 28, 1959], No. 44477/60. Class 125(3). A sealing washer 1, Fig. 4, integral with or fitted into a capsule or stopper, is provided with a hollow frusto-conical rib 2 adapted to engage a conical section groove 5 in the neck of a container 7. In Fig. 4 the washer is of a plastic material and enclosed by a capsule 8 secured on the neck e.g. by a bayonet fitting or screw-thread. In Fig. 5 the washer 1 forms part of a plastic stopper 10 fitting into the neck of the container and is provided with two hollow ribs, 11, 3, engaging grooves 5, 9.
