Abstract

982,744. Bottle closures. LONG & HAMBLY Ltd. May 13, 1963 [July 20, 1962], No. 27979/62. Heading B8T. A resilient flanged plug, e.g. of rubber, has a hollow cylindrical body 11 with opposed slots 14 and two rows of pips 15, the arrangement being such that when the plug is fully inserted into a container neck it forms a seal, but when partly displaced therefrom the pips retain it in a required position whilst air &c. may be withdrawn from the container via the slots.
