A synthetic resin stopper comprises a head 2 and a hollow cylindrical body 1 formed with an annular bulbous enlargement 4 which merges smoothly into the surface of the body 1 and engages below the choke of a bottle neck. An annular reinforcing rib 3 may be provided near the lower end of the body 1. Specification 886,821 is referred to.
