Abstract

1441837 Pipe couplings UNITED-CARR Ltd 29 Oct 1974 [23 Oct 1973] 49316/73 Heading F2G A connector for connecting a pipe 23 to an aperture 25 in a panel 24 comprises a shank with a stud 13 at one end to receive the pipe 23, and a solid nose 19 at the other end with legs 14, 15 which allow the connector to be pushed through the aperture 25 and then spring out to retain it in place, and a skirt 12 to form a seal around the aperture, the shank being formed with an axial bore 18 leading to two transverse bores (not shown) opening out into the space behind the panel 24 from the pipe 23, the transverse bore furthest from the panel being of larger diameter than the other which thus acts as a safety passage should the larger bore become blocked. The connector is preferably of plastics material.
