Abstract

573,920. Sleeve couplings. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., HILL, W. E., and WINTLE, T. D. G. Dec. 20, 1943, No. 21295. [Class 38 (i)] A connector for cables has at each end a longitudinal opening to receive the conductor and insulation of a cable the walls being adapted for indentation into retaining engagement with both. In the construction shown, a threaded or ribbed portion d receives the core e and an enlarged portion b receives the insulation c, the cable core and insulation being secured by indentations f and g. An insulating rubber sleeve h having an annular lip i at each end for sealing purposes, may be slipped over the joint. Specification 568,632 is referred to.
