Abstract

873,184. Lawn mowers. WEBB & CO. Ltd., H. C., and TAYLOR, F. W. March 18, 1960 [March 24, 1959],. No. 10098/59. Class 6(2). A lawn mower comprises four castor wheels 13 mounted at the corners of a chassis having two main side plates to which are secured two cross members arranged at equal distances from the vertical plane containing the axis of a ground roller. An electric motor k mounted on the cross members drives, through independent clutches and reduction gearing, two end rolls of the ground roller, braking means being provided so that each end roll can be braked as it is declutched from the drive.
