Abstract

798,845. Road sweepers. ALLEN & SONS (OXFORD), Ltd., J. April 9, 1957 [April 9, 1956], No. 10791/56. Class 107 A road sweeper, particularly one as disclosed in Specification 781,675, has an auxiliary brush 25 mounted on a beam 20, releasably pivoted to the machine frame at 21 and driven by friction wheels 34 (only one shown) through a belt 37, the wheels 34 engaging the sides of the tyre of one road wheel 12. Screw adjustment means 44 allows the height of the auxiliary brush to be varied.
