765,671. Sweeping lawns. RAMSDEN, E. Jan. 17, 1952 [Nov. 10, 1951], No. 26381/51. Class 6(2). [Also in Group X] A machine for sweeping grass surfaces has a brush 8 rotated by chain gear from the ground wheels 5 and mounted with its axle freely movable in arcuate slots 9 in the side walls of an enclosing casing fitted with a removable collecting box 18. The brush axle is carried by arms 10 pivoted at 6 to the ground wheel axle and each provided with a nut 11 with which engages an adjusting screw freely movable in a bracket 13 on the casing. A pivoted adjustable combing brush 21 engages the periphery of the main brush. The machine is provided with rear castor wheels 7 and is propelled by a handle 26.
