Class 6(i) A lawn-scarifier comprises a manuallypropelled two-wheeled frame 3 having a heavy plate 4 at its rear end carrying a' transverse series of knives 5 mounted in pairs in slotted clamps 10. The front end of the frame carries land wheels 1 on an axle 2 to which is pivoted a bifurcated handle 13. Downward pivotal movement of the handle is limited by a stop 14 so that the frame may be tipped up, for transport. In a modification, the stop is adjustable and is carried on the handle. The knives 5 are received in slots (Fig. 5) in the lower part 9 of the transverse beam 4 and are held therein by bolts 11 passing through the clamping blocks 10.
