Abstract

774,633. Agricultural implements. HUERLIMANN, H. June 22, 1955 [March 4, 1955], No. 18046/55. Class 6(1). A reciprocating harrow comprising prongs 18<SP>1</SP> mounted on a bar 17 which is pivotally suspended from the chassis of a tractor in a position transverse to the direction of travel thereof and is reciprocated lengthwise by motor driven means is characterized in that the prongs are inclined downwardly and rearwardly to the direction of travel of the tractor. As shown the bar 17 is suspended by means of pairs of links 15 from a beam 9 which is supported by an adjustable wheel 12 and is pivoted by a pin 8 to a frame 4 vertically adjustably mounted in a bracket 2. The bar 17 is reciprocated by means of a connecting bar 19 and a crank disc provided with a crank pin 20. The prongs may be adjustably mounted on the bar 17 as shown in Fig. 4 in which the prong is formed with a curved portion 26 and is adjusted by means of bolts 22, 23 by tightening one of the nuts 24 or 25 and loosening the other nut.
