Abstract

1,245,257. Mobil toy. REMCO INDUSTRIES Inc. 1 Nov., 1968 [27 June, 1968], No. 51872/68. Heading A6S. A four wheeled mobile toy adapted to travel on one pair of wheels 12 over a single raised track 14 comprises a body 10, drive means for rotating at least one of said pair of wheels 12, a rod 16 adapted to be secured to said body 10 with at least one of its ends 32, 34 extending below the level of the track, and a weight 22, 24 slidably mounted on the end of the rod which is on the same side of the toy as the driven wheel. The weight is positioned below the level of the track and effectively displaces the centre of gravity of the toy to a position directly below the pair of wheels on the track. The raised track may include transverse ribs 40 which provide additional traction to the pair of wheels. The balancing means may also have a counterweight 22, 24 mounted on the end of the rod opposite to the first mentioned weight.
